The Bulldog Way
From Dreadful Tub to a Walk-In Shower Built for You
The walk-in shower is our most requested project for a reason. The ease of accessibility combined with a beautiful aesthetic can bring any bathroom to life. We start with how your household uses the room, then design the shower around it: the entry, the seat, the storage, the finish. The result is a bathroom you'll be proud to show off, and one that will serve you for years to come.

Invest in your future
The one upgrade you use twice a day.
A walk-in shower is a rare kind of improvement: it changes something you do every single morning, and it does it for a fraction of what a full remodel costs. Step-free access, a room that feels bigger, and a shower built properly behind the surface rather than resurfaced over an old one.
It also broadens who your home suits. A sound, modern shower is one of the first things a buyer looks at in an older house, and one of the first things that lets an owner stay in a home they had no wish to leave.
Most people tell us the same thing afterwards: that they wish they had done it years earlier. If you’re weighing it up, call us and we’ll tell you honestly what your room can take.
A Schedule You Get in Writing
A walk-in shower done properly takes around 4 days: tear-out, plumbing, waterproofing and finish work, all by our own team. Materials are staged before we start and your dates are fixed in writing, so there are no open-ended weeks.

David Walker
I just want to give a quick shout-out to the Bulldog team. They were an absolute lifesaver during our bathroom remodel. From the beginning, they were honest, transparent, and never surprised us with cost overruns or unnecessary upsells. They focused on getting the job done right instead of trying to sell us more. My wife felt completely comfortable having them in our home, which made the whole experience stress-free. They finished everything in just three days, paid close attention to every detail, and exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be hiring Bulldog again for our kitchen remodel, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy contractor.
“Bulldog Remodel Group did a complete renovation of our master bathroom down to the studs. The transformation was amazing. The designer made a once dreaded room into a retreat. The luxurious shower is a personal favorite, and we now have a laundry closet, which has made the task so much easier and more convenient for us. The design was a perfect balance between style and functionality. Throughout the process, the design team made us feel as though we were their only customer with all the… attention and responsiveness we could hope for. They really understood our personal style while making wonderful suggestions along the way to enhance our ideas or introduce designs we would never have thought of. When we were unsure about a choice, their confidence and expertise put us at ease. They are truly masters at their craft. We also found the trades that worked on the project were experienced and respectful while in our home. A special thank you to the entire crew, who represented Bulldog Remodel Group with the utmost professionalism, always going above and beyond with customer care. Along the process, the owners stopped by on occasion to make sure the project was meeting (and exceeding) our expectations. This hands-on approach was the cherry on top to a wonderful experience. I am a very picky customer, and the Bulldog Remodel Group team never made me feel like a burden. They were always accommodating and made sure they delivered a quality project that exceeded our expectations.”
Good questions
Walk-In Showers: your questions
Can my existing tub be turned into a walk-in shower?
In most homes, yes. A standard tub alcove converts cleanly: the drain moves to suit the new shower base, the valve is raised to shower height, and the walls are waterproofed from the floor up rather than just above the old tub rim.
Should we keep a tub somewhere in the house?
If this is your only tub and you have young children, or plan to sell to a family, it is worth keeping one elsewhere. If there is a second bathroom with a tub, converting this one rarely affects resale.
Curbless or a low curb: which is right for us?
Curbless is the easiest to walk or roll into, but the floor has to slope to the drain, which can mean recessing it between the joists. A low curb gives most of the same ease with simpler framing, so the joist layout often makes the choice.
Do we need a glass door?
Not always. A deep enough shower can work with a single fixed glass panel and no door at all, while a tighter one usually needs a hinged or sliding door to keep the spray in. We size it to your layout at the design stage.
How do we keep a shower from leaking years from now?
The waterproofing does that, not the tile or grout. A continuous membrane behind the walls and under the base, sloped to the drain and water-tested before tile goes on, is what keeps water out of the framing long term.
