What a walk-in shower takes in Oakley
Oakley (ZIP 45209) is a popular east-side neighborhood around Oakley Square and Madison Road, with streets of early-1900s bungalows and brick homes alongside newer development.
Bungalow bathrooms of this era very often have a window set in the wall above the tub, and converting to a shower puts that window inside a wet enclosure. It has to be dealt with deliberately: waterproofed into the assembly with a tiled, sloped sill, or fitted with an obscured glazed unit, or in some cases reduced and relocated. Ignoring it is how a beautiful new shower rots a window frame within a few winters.

Common questions from Oakley homeowners
Yes, but the window has to be built into the waterproofing rather than worked around. Usually that means a tiled sloped sill and a suitable glazed unit, so it sheds water instead of holding it.
Sometimes, though it is the more expensive route and it costs the room its daylight. We price both so you can weigh it properly.
