What a walk-in shower takes in Florence
Florence (ZIP 41042) is the largest city in Boone County and one of the fastest-growing in Northern Kentucky, with a wide mix of mid-century neighborhoods and newer subdivisions around the Florence Mall area.
A great many homes here were built with a one-piece molded tub-and-surround unit, installed before the walls were finished and physically larger than the doorway it now sits behind. It cannot be taken out whole, so removal means cutting it into sections in place, routine work, but it produces dust and debris that a crew unprepared for it will spread through the house. We plan the cut and the containment before the day rather than improvising it.

Answers to your Florence questions
By cutting it into sections in place, because it was installed before the walls were and will not fit back through the door. It is routine, but it needs containment planned in advance.
Not if the dust barrier and floor protection go in first, which is standard for us. The debris is bulky rather than fine, and it leaves the same day.
