A shower built for how you live in Newport
Newport (ZIP 41071) is a Northern Kentucky river city across from downtown Cincinnati, home to the East Row Historic District, one of the largest Victorian historic districts in the state, along with the Levee riverfront.
East Row houses are tall and narrow, and the bathroom is frequently on the second or third floor at the end of a long vertical run of original pipe. Height costs pressure, and a corroded galvanized riser costs more of it, which is why a new shower in one of these houses can disappoint if only the fixture is replaced. We check the static pressure and the condition of the riser before specifying a head, so what gets installed will actually perform at that height.

Common questions from Newport homeowners
It can, but it has to be checked rather than assumed. Height costs pressure and an old corroded riser costs more, so we measure before choosing a head rather than after.
Replacing the riser serving the bathroom usually solves it. Where it does not, a pump is an option and we will tell you plainly which your house needs.
