Aging in place in Covington
Covington (ZIP 41011) sits directly across the Ohio River from downtown Cincinnati, with historic districts like MainStrasse Village and Licking Riverside full of 19th-century rowhouses and brick homes.
Two things shape the job here. Permitting and inspection run under Kentucky rules rather than Ohio, which we confirm before a start date is agreed. And MainStrasse and Licking Riverside bathrooms are narrow, later insertions into deep houses, which usually means a shorter model with an inward-opening door, chosen against the room rather than from a brochure.

What Covington homeowners ask us
Yes, regularly. In Kentucky the plumbing permit comes from the state Division of Plumbing and a state inspector checks the work, so the inspection sequence differs from an Ohio job. Your part is making sure someone can let the inspector in on the day.
Often, with a shorter model and the door swing planned against the actual floor space. We measure the swing and the clearance together rather than the alcove alone.
