Staying in your Walnut Hills home, comfortably.
Walnut Hills (ZIP 45206) is a historic hilltop neighborhood just northeast of downtown, with grand 19th-century homes and apartment buildings around the Peebles Corner business district.
Every walk-in tub is a bathtub with a hole cut in it, and the door seal is what stands between that and your floor. It is the one component where the difference between a good tub and a cheap one is unarguable: gasket quality, latch mechanism, how squarely the door sits after a thousand cycles. In an upstairs bathroom over original plaster and millwork, that is not somewhere to save money, and we will not build your bathroom around a tub we would not put in our own house.

Answers to your Walnut Hills questions
Water on the bathroom floor while someone is sitting in a tub they cannot leave until it drains. It is the reason the seal and latch are the components we will not economize on.
Years, on a quality tub fitted properly, and it is a replaceable part rather than a whole-tub failure. Cheap gaskets and flimsy latches are what turn it into a real problem.
