What a walk-in tub takes in South Fairmount
South Fairmount (ZIP 45205) sits in the Lick Run valley along Queen City Avenue on the west side, the area rebuilt around the Lick Run Greenway stormwater project after a long history of valley flooding.
A walk-in tub holds more water than a standard one and, with a fast-drain, releases it faster. That surge is what finds a partly blocked lateral or an undersized waste run, and here it matters more than usual, because someone is sitting inside waiting for it to clear. In a valley with this drainage history we would rather establish the condition of the line before installing than be called back after the first bath.

What South Fairmount homeowners ask us
It will not cause a problem, but it will reveal one: it releases more water faster than a standard tub. Where there is any history of slow drains, the lateral is worth checking first.
Because you sit inside waiting for it to drain before the door will open. A slow line is not just an inconvenience here.
