A safer bath for a Pendleton household
Pendleton (ZIP 45202) is a small, historic arts district tucked against the eastern edge of Over-the-Rhine, full of restored 19th-century Italianate buildings and converted lofts and condominiums.
Loft conversions here sit on heavy timber specified for warehouse loading, which sounds reassuring, but the decking between beams, and the alterations made during conversion, are less predictable. A filled walk-in tub is a concentrated live load in one corner of a room. We establish what is actually under the bathroom before setting one there, and the building will usually want to see that too.

Common questions from Pendleton homeowners
Often, but it is worth establishing rather than assuming: the original beams are heavy, the decking and conversion alterations less predictable. The building will usually want that confirmed too.
In most converted buildings here, yes. The work touches shared services, the waterproofing and often the electrical supply. We prepare what the board asks for.
