Bathing safely at home in Fort Wright
Fort Wright (ZIP 41011) is a hilltop Kenton County city above the river, with established neighborhoods of mid-century and newer homes.
The elevation removes the water-table questions that dominate work in the river villages below, so a lower-level bathroom here is usually a conventional job, and where stairs are becoming difficult, a walk-in tub on the entry level is a genuinely good outcome. What still gets measured is the drain elevation, because a house stepped into a grade can sit closer to the sewer than expected, and any ejector has to be sized for the tub’s discharge.

Answers to your Fort Wright questions
Usually yes: the hilltop avoids the water-table problems of the river villages. We measure the drain elevation, and where a pump is needed it is sized for the tub’s discharge rather than to a standard.
It is when the person can also sleep on that floor, because a bath downstairs does not help much if bedtime still means the stairs. Check that a room nearby could serve as a bedroom and that the route between them is short and well lit.
