Staying in your East Westwood home, comfortably.
East Westwood (ZIP 45211) is a west-side neighborhood on the slopes between Westwood and the Mill Creek valley, with streets of early- and mid-1900s homes.
Not everyone struggling with a bathroom needs a walk-in tub. Where the person mainly showers and the difficulty is standing rather than the tub wall, a fold-down seat with a hand shower and properly anchored bars solves it for a small fraction of the cost. We would rather fit that and be right than sell a tub and be wrong. Where bathing genuinely matters and the wall is the barrier, the tub is the answer.

Common questions from East Westwood homeowners
A simple test helps: if the person can step over the existing tub wall while holding a bar but tires standing, a seat and hand shower will likely do. If the tub wall itself is where they stall, a seat will not fix that. An occupational therapist home assessment, which a doctor can refer for, gives you an independent view.
Whether bathing matters to them, and whether the tub wall is the actual barrier. We ask before recommending, and we will point you to the cheaper option when it is the right one.
