One good tub, one good shower, in Pleasant Ridge
Pleasant Ridge (ZIP 45213) is a walkable east-side neighborhood along Montgomery Road, with tree-lined streets of early-1900s homes and classic Cincinnati brick two-families.
When a ceiling stains below a bathroom, the tub itself is rarely at fault. It is almost always the overflow plate or the waste connection behind the apron: a rubber gasket that has hardened over forty years and a linkage nobody has touched since. Those parts are cheap and they are the reason we replace the whole waste and overflow assembly with a new tub as standard rather than reusing what is there.

Questions about tub shower combos in Pleasant Ridge
The overflow gasket and the waste connection behind the apron, not the tub. The parts are inexpensive, which is why we replace the whole assembly with a new tub rather than reusing the old one.
Usually not. It is far more often the overflow or a failed joint at the surround. We open it up and look before quoting so the real cause is in the price.
