New Richmond, OH · 45157
The best of both worlds in New Richmond.
New Richmond (ZIP 45157) is a historic Ohio River village in Clermont County with deep roots in the abolitionist movement, lined with 19th-century homes along the riverfront.
These rooms have height that modern bathrooms do not, and running a tub surround the full nine or ten feet to the ceiling can read as clinical rather than generous. A considered horizontal line (tile to a height that relates to the door head or a picture rail, with a proper moisture-resistant finish above) usually sits far better in a room of this period. It is a proportion judgment rather than a technical one, and worth making deliberately.

Questions we hear in New Richmond
Not always. In a nine or ten foot room, stopping at a line that relates to the door head often looks far better, with a moisture-resistant finish above.
Not where the wet zone above the tub is tiled to full shower height and the wall above is properly finished. The area at risk is the shower zone, not the far side of the room.
