Evanston, Cincinnati, OH · 45207
The best of both worlds in Evanston.
Evanston (ZIP 45207) is an east-side neighborhood next to Xavier University, with streets of early-1900s homes and apartment buildings, some now student housing.
A tub shared by a whole household gets used at very different temperatures: a bath for a small child and a shower for an adult are not the same setting, and an old two-handle valve makes that a guessing game every time. A single-lever valve with a limit stop gives a repeatable, capped setting that everyone can use safely. It is a modest part and it is what stops the daily fiddling.

Common questions from Evanston homeowners
Yes, a limit stop on a modern valve caps how hot it can go regardless of what gets turned. With small children in the house it is the single most worthwhile part of the valve specification.
For a shared bathroom, considerably. It gives a repeatable setting rather than a guess, and it is the only sensible way to add a temperature limit.
