Does the historic designation affect the kitchen?

The interior is yours. A hood duct penetrating an exterior wall is visible, so that is worth raising early rather than at installation.

What Greenhills kitchens usually need

Greenhills (ZIP 45218) is a historic planned "Greenbelt" town built in the 1930s as a New Deal project, now a National Historic Landmark district, with its original cottages and townhomes still in use.

Because the town was built as a single scheme, the kitchens repeat from home to home: compact, with the same footprint and the same service positions. That is genuinely useful: we know which layouts work in the room, where the plumbing runs and what the realistic options are for opening up. The Landmark designation concerns the exterior, with a hood duct penetration the one detail worth raising early.

Basement Remodel

Luxury Game Point Basement Remodel

Welcome to the Luxury Game Point basement remodel, where Bulldog Remodel Group built a space that is as functional as it is fun. Warm beige walls and soft carpet hold a billiards table, a wall-mounted cue rack, ping pong and foosball, all framed by recessed lights and white wainscoting.
