How do cabinets handle an uneven floor?

They get scribed to it and the countertops templated in place. It is normal work in houses of this age and terrain.

Before you open the walls in North Fairmount

North Fairmount (ZIP 45225) sits on the hillside above the Mill Creek valley west of the basin, a small neighborhood of older frame housing on steep streets.

Frame houses set into a slope tend to have moved a little over a century, and the kitchen is usually where that shows in the floor. That does not necessarily mean a problem (much of the movement is long settled), but it does mean cabinetry gets scribed and countertops templated in place rather than cut from a drawing. Establishing whether the movement is historic or ongoing is worth doing before anything is installed on top of it.

Bulldog Remodel Group's Creatively Charming Hall and Powder Bath Remodel shows how thoughtful updates modernize a home. A skylight brightens a marble-look glass shower with stacked niches, and a warm wood double vanity sits beneath black and brass sconces.
