Cincinnati Cost Guide · Updated October 2026

How Much Does a Bathroom Remodel Cost in Cincinnati?

Short answer: a full bathroom remodel with Bulldog typically costs $15,000 to $55,000+. A hall or guest bath rebuilt in the same footprint runs $15,000 to $25,000, most homeowners choose a $25,000 to $40,000 bath with a tile walk-in shower, and a primary suite with a new layout starts around $40,000. Here’s what moves the number, and how to keep it from moving after you sign.

What Moves the Number

What actually drives your cost

1

Keeping or changing the layout

Rebuilding in the same footprint is the most cost-effective path. Moving a toilet, shower or vanity means relocating drains and supply lines, and moving walls adds framing and electrical. That is the main jump between our Signature and Luxury tiers.

2

The shower or tub you choose

An acrylic tub and shower combo costs less than a custom tile shower, and a curbless zero-entry shower with a linear drain costs more again because the floor has to be built down to it. Frameless glass, niches and a bench each add to the line.

3

Vanity and countertop

A stock vanity with a cultured marble top, a semi-custom vanity with quartz, and a custom double vanity with a stone top and integrated lighting sit in very different price bands.

4

Tile, floors and finishes

Porcelain versus natural stone, heated floors, designer fixtures and a towel warmer are where personal taste moves the number most. Fixture brands like Kohler, Delta and Moen come standard in our Signature tier.

5

What’s behind the walls

Many Cincinnati homes are decades old. Rotted subfloor around a toilet, mold behind a leaking tub surround, or old supply lines are common once the room is opened. We price subfloor repair, mold remediation and new plumbing components into the job up front rather than discovering them as change orders.

Side by Side

Full remodel, walk-in shower or tub and shower combo?

If the shower is the only thing that bothers you, you may not need a full remodel. Here is how the three options compare.

OptionTypical costTypical timeBest for
Full bathroom remodel$15,000 to $55,000+4 to 8 weeks, design to finishDated or failing rooms, layout changes, primary suites
Walk-in shower conversion$10,000 to $20,000+Around 4 daysReplacing a tub you no longer use, step-free access
Tub and shower combo$10,000 to $20,000+Around 4 daysHouseholds that still want a tub, family bathrooms

Timeline

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

Every bathroom we remodel is built around the household, not dropped in. The whole process, from the first design meeting to the final walkthrough, usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, and most of that is design, selections and material lead times rather than work in your house.

No Surprises

Why our price is fixed, not “from”

Most bathroom budgets blow up after demolition, when the price climbs to cover what was found behind the walls or a selection that was never pinned down. We plan and stage everything first. After design you receive one itemized, fixed-price contract covering design, permits, materials, labor and our lifetime workmanship warranty, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

Value

Is a bathroom remodel worth it?

Bathrooms are consistently among the strongest returns of any remodel, and unlike most upgrades you use the result every morning and every night. Quality behind the surface is what protects that value: a properly waterproofed shower and a sound subfloor are what keep a bathroom looking new in fifteen years.

I just want to give a quick shout-out to the Bulldog team. They were an absolute lifesaver during our bathroom remodel. From the beginning, they were honest, transparent, and never surprised us with cost overruns or unnecessary upsells. They focused on getting the job done right instead of trying to sell us more. My wife felt completely comfortable having them in our home, which made the whole experience stress-free. They finished everything in just three days, paid close attention to every detail, and exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be hiring Bulldog again for our kitchen remodel, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy contractor.
